Seniors get the short end of the stick in our society. What's worse is that they often get the short end of the stick in church. From the music to the hiring, too often youth is over-emphasized.

At Franklin Community Church we want to follow the biblical command to honor our elders, and treasure them. How do we do this?

Not by separating them into their own box, or by ignoring them, but by seeking to make our services, lifegroups, and leadership fully inter-generational, and treasuring the opinions, gifts, and wisdom of our seniors.

Our services are not targeting college students, and our "elders" are not in their early 30's.  Nor do we ignore the experience of those who have so many years of life experience and Christian growth. Rather, we seek out their opinion, especially in our Lifegroups where people walk together in the Christian life?
